Do I have to be an art major or good at art to join the IABC?
No! We welcome students from all majors, including business, environmental sciences, and other disciplines. Any UIUC student interested in art, business, and advocacy - regardless of experience level - is welcome to join! For non-art students, the IABC is a great opportunity to explore your creative side by collaborating with different creatives on meaningful initiatives. For creatives, it is a place to learn valuable career skills that will take you far into your professional journey.
How do I become a member?
Fill out the IABC Interest form (can be found on Home page, our Instagram, or our Discord) and then you are officially an IABC member!
When and where does the club meet?
The IABC meets every Saturday at the Siebel Center of Design at our weekly GBMs. All members are welcome to attend our GBMs!
Does IABC offer mentorship or networking opportunities?
Yes! We connect members with professional artists, business mentors, and industry experts through speaker events and networking events
Will IABC help me start my own art business?
While we don’t run businesses for members, we provide valuable resources, experiences, and connections that can help you develop your art into a business
